It feels as though I have been spending more time framing and getting ready for my show with woodcarver Gary Flynn at the Red Horse Gallery than painting so it was especially wonderful to get in a boat with a friend for a good part of the day. While he fished, I sketched with pastels, ink and pencil and took a few pictures.
Couldn’t believe my luck capturing a blue heron catching and eating a fish!
There is nothing as peaceful as being on the water. It’s a calm and beautiful world filled with color, birds, wildlife, fish and inspiration.
